Dear Vampire Community and Friends;

A NYC-based, award-winning documentary, film and TV production company is currently seeking a sanguinarian (sang) vampire to tell his or her personal story for a fascinating new documentary TV series for Showtime.

Our docu-series will be a visually stunning, intelligent and true documentary-style show, NOT a reality TV show. It will be looking at numerous manifestations of the concept of “lust” in modern day life. Each segment will feature a different story, told by the person living it.

This specific segment will tell the story of the “lust for blood”, told through his or her own eyes. If you are someone who has thirsted for blood all your life, and identifies as a blood-drinker or sanguinarian, feel free to contact us at: sevenlyproductionscasting@gmail.com

The purpose of this questionnaire is to objectively evaluate the current state of the Vampire Community through the process of a candid disclosure of perceived problems and to examine the individual needs of self-identified real vampi(y)res and how to best address them.

The Voices of the Vampire Community (VVC) would like to thank the 169 respondents to this questionnaire and encourage constructive discussions based on the opinions and ideas offered for review. Responses were collected by Merticus of the VVC on November 24, 2013 and made publicly available to the vampire community on November 25, 2013. The responses to this questionnaire were solicited from dozens of ‘real vampire’ related websites, groups, forums, mailing lists, and social media outlets and do not necessarily represent the views of the VVC or its members. The VVC assumes no responsibility over the use, interpretation, or accuracy of responses and claims made by those who chose to participate. This document may be reproduced and transmitted for non-commercial use without permission provided there are no modifications.

ATTENTION:  VAMPIRE COMMUNITY PARTICIPANTS

If you or someone you know have posted solicitations on Vampire/Donor websites seeking donors then you should really watch the program that came out earlier this evening on Dateline NBC – it aired nationally in the United States.  Chris Hansen and his colleagues contact three unsuspecting ‘real vampires’ who are seeking donors and arrange meetings with undercover reporters posing as potential donors.  These vampires are filmed with hidden cameras and then when the undercover reporter leaves the room the ‘real vampires’ are confronted by Chris Hansen and asked questions about vampirism, blood drinking, and how they source blood from humans and animals.  Is this an ‘undercover investigation’ or a throwback to his canceled series “To Catch A Predator” . . . “To Catch A Vampire”?  There are potentially serious real-world implications to outing individuals as self-identified real vampires to a viewership of close to seven million.
