Hybrid Films, a production company based in New York City, is making a documentary series for the Sundance Channel, and we’d like to speak with self-identified psychic and sanguinarian vampires who might be interested in mending an existing, challenging relationship. We will endeavor to treat the subject of real vampirism with the utmost respect and sensitivity and wish to avoid cliche stereotyping.
Do you have a family member or friend who does not understand your life choices, interests or practices? Has this caused distance or a deep misunderstanding between you? If you gave your family or friend an opportunity to walk in your shoes to see your life from your point of view, would this open a pathway to an improved understanding and respect? Do you care about them enough to take part in this leap of faith?
We are providing members of different types of communities an opportunity to show us their story, which could positively impact thousands of viewers in a meaningful way. Part of the approach will include someone introducing a family member to his/her community or belief system in the hope of bringing people closer together.
VPEtalent is casting a new series for VH1 that features unique couples who are making it work, against all odds. The 10 episode series will feature two couples who although live their lives differently than many other couples, are just as in love and happy as anyone else. Couples need to be married or in a committed relationship. Ideally, one person in the relationship might not share the same lifestyle choices as their partner, but fully supports and embraces it.
Deadline: End Of December 2012
Talent Fee: TBD
If interested please reply with a photo of you as a couple, a brief overview of your relationship including how long you’ve been together, how you’re making your relationship work, and what are the unique benefits and challenges of being in a relationship where only one person is a vampire.
A Question For Real Vampires On Proposals By Television Media:
If you were offered the opportunity to appear on a reality-style or documentary-style television show (not a short news clip) concerning in part or in full “real vampires/vampirism” would you be interested in transparent participation (face not obscured and voice not disguised)?
A Question Specifically For Those Who Identify As Real Vampi(y)res:
If you were compelled to critically evaluate your own personal identity [belief, condition, practice, state of being, et. al.] as a ‘real vampi(y)re’ based upon your collective and present understanding or interpretation of ‘vampirism’; what confidence level would you assign for yourself?
