RIP Sanguinarius | 1970-2015 | Vampire Community Pioneer

The Vampire Community has suffered an immense loss of a pioneering elder, educator, and role model.  A short while ago it was relayed and confirmed from a very dear friend, Jeff Holland, that Sangi (Sanguinarius) passed from this life during the morning hours of August 3, 2015.

Sangi, thank you for all that you did for the real vampire community and those who were inspired and helped through your resources.  We love you and our heart aches — you will be missed more than words can adequately express!

Memorial Update From Jeff Holland:

“First of all I would like to thank all of you for your kind condolences. Sangi is survived by her dear mother and her cat, “socks”. The latter who I inherited and who currently sleeps on Sangi’s side of the bed only. I went to the funeral home and seen my precious gal layed out in black. I know she would have loved that. Her mother is currently making plans to transport Sangi to the family crypt in Kansas City. Liz and I were together off and on for over 15 years and I believe her years in Arizona were the happiest of her life. I know they have been for me. She was the type of person who never let her setbacks or health issues slow her down. Contributions to a memorial fund through this site to keep her work going would I am sure make her happy.”
